LSU A Cappella Touring Dallas 2/25-2/28
From Director John Dickson:
I am delighted to share with you this year’s LSU A Cappella Choir. We have enjoyed a fantastic year of great music making including our two-week England tour before the ABCD, and now we are embarking on a short Mardi Gras tour to Dallas.
The theme of our program, “I asked for Wonder,” is taken from the title of a book by Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. Heschel writes, “Sometimes we wish the world could cry and tell us about that which made it pregnant with fear-filling grandeur.” The program features works by Frank Martin, Leonard Bernstein, Gabriel Jackson, Jake Runestad, Eric Barnum, as well as the greats of the past including Palestrina and Haydn.
I think you are going to enjoy the multifarious colors, sensitive musicianship, and expressive language sung by these talented young singers. Take a look at our concert itinerary below and plan to join us for a Mardi Gras of colorful sounds in Dallas.
